Who We Are
Santa Claus is Coming to Morris is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to serving families throughout Grundy County and the surrounding region. What began as a small community effort has grown into a county wide tradition, bringing joy, connection, and meaningful support to thousands of families each year.
Our Mission is Simple
Bring Santa, community spirit, and support for Future First Responders to the people of Grundy County and beyond.
In 2025, we launched our 1st Annual Touch the Truck event in Coal City, IL. With the support of the Village of Coal City, the Coal City Lions Club, this family friendly summer event brings together trucks, tractors, emergency vehicles, games, and hands on activities for all ages.

We are honored to welcome the United States Marines from the Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, who will showcase their equipment & vehicles and spend the day engaging with families.
We will also have many other trucks, tractors and specialty vehicles to see and touch.
This event is completely free and continues to grow each year.
9th Annual - Evening with Santa
Each December, we host Evening with Santa, now entering its 9th year and recognized as Grundy County’s
BIGGEST and BEST Santa event. Families from DuPage, Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle, and Will counties travel to
attend this celebration.
Since 2022, First Christian Church in Morris has opened their doors and is our INDOOR VENUE for our Evening with Santa. We are now able to have all new family friendly activities, expanded decorations, and a more comfortable environment for everyone. Attendance continues to grow, with over 1,000 guests expected each year.
7th Annual - First Responder / Santa Neighborhood Parades
During the month of December, we proudly host the First Responder / Santa Neighborhood Parades, now entering their 7th year. These parades travel through Southern Grundy County communities, bringing Santa, emergency vehicles, and holiday cheer directly into neighborhoods. These parades have become a cherished tradition and are known as Grundy County’s biggest and best Christmas parades.
Supporting the next generation of local heroes is at the heart of our mission. Since 2023, we have awarded over $10,000 in scholarships to students pursuing careers as Future First Responders in Grundy County.Our goal is to provide as many $1,000 scholarships as possible each year — a Christmas gift that helps future police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other public safety professionals begin their careers.
We remain committed to expanding this program and continuing to invest in the young people who will one day serve and protect our community.
